Hired to finish the Construction of the Hotel, create Timeline Chart and adjust resources to finish on time. Technical Specs for machinery, life & safety, ecological systems (sewage, irrigation, and power). Analysis balance between Acquisition Costs vs. Operational Costs. Bidding Process, Bonds, Guaranties, as Built Drawings. Developed, implemented Hotel operations including procedures, policies, and training programs. Developed Hurricane Safety procedures and fixed minor Hotel damages after Odile & Lidia. Created the Plan and Certified 11 Blue Flag at Medano Beach. Responsibilities include Operations Plan for each and every Yr. + Marketing Plan + Budget + Capex.

Along 3 Years I was assigned and promoted to different Projects as follows:

 

The Westin Los Cabos Resort & Spa

Assigned to Manage the Cascadas remodeling (1MM US) in just 6 months reviewing the project, drawings, bonds, timeline (finished on time) + mayor equipment replacement including all Hotel repainting with 10 Yrs. Guarantee.

 

Grand Regina Los Cabos

Since the Hotel was finished before my arrival was assigned to lead the Pre-Opening equipment. Also Root Cause analysis and design engineered solutions to existing problems after construction.

 

The Haciendas 

Analyze, design and implement engineering solutions to implement Starwood Standards to +300 Yrs. Ancient Haciendas infrastructure.

General Director in charge of Operations with 400 people, Contractors, Sub-Contractors, Legal Team, Finance reporting to the Board of Directors.

 

Sales Plan review and Operations.

We executed Projects, Constructions, Hospitals, Universities, and buildings for public and private clients.

 

Very important projects to mention: second highest electrical tower in the world.

 

I Also created Operational & Quality Standards and Reports achieving ISO 9000 Standards.

Universidad Central de Venezuela | 1991 - 1995

Assistance Professor for School of Economics also in charge of Professional practice of students for the last year of Engineering. This position was created by the Main University authorities. After a year in charge was promoted as Chief Engineer for the remodeling of the main kitchen and restaurant of the University. The operation was as big as 3,000 people per shift after being in charge of Students for the last year of Engineering.
